Teen & Adult Acne

Acne is a very common skin condition that can affect individuals at any stage of their life due to a variety of different factors. With our extensive training and knowledge regarding acneic skin conditions, we are able to provide our clientele with in-clinic and home care solutions.

How Is A Pimple Formed?

A pimple begins when there is a blockage to a sebaceous gland. We have dead skin cells on the surface of our skin, which can combine with excess sebum (oil), to form a plug in a pore or hair follicle. Oxygen is no longer able to penetrate into the pore, allowing for bacteria to begin building. Even though the gland is now blocked, sebum continues to create and the plugged gland becomes larger. This causes intense inflammation and results in the formation of a pimple.

Treatments We Offer For Acne

In-clinic medical treatments, in combination with holistic and organic skincare are key to balancing, maintaining and ridding acne.

The two treatments that we have determined to be the best non-invasive way of clearing acne are – AFA Gel Peels & Acting Against Acne Facial

Facial Peels

AFAs are based on the same natural acidic amino acids that serve to retain moisture in human skin.  They are also potent antioxidants and are extremely helpful against photo pigmentation.

PeelAFA Gel Peels gently remove the damaged outer layers of skin, while restoring moisture. Formulated with Dead Sea Salts, these peels effectively treat acneic skin conditions.

At SkinSoooLush Medi Spa, we carry five different levels of AFA Peels.  Typically, we begin clients with the beginner peels, and as the skin begins to build strength, clients are graduated to the advanced peels.

BONUS: Coupled with our honey-based mask, the skin is infused with antioxidants and beauty-boosting nutrients, resulting in a soft, supple and radiant complexion.

Bentonite clay absorbs excess oil, while purifying the pores. Tea Tree Essential oil helps to kill bacteria while May Chang acts as an astringent, which contracts the pores and protects the skin once it has been cleansed.

Lavender Beauty Drops

Intended for oily, sensitive skin to combat inflammation, acne, and redness. Skin is left looking calm, clear and healed from within. This luxurious oil is to be used morning night, in place of a moisturizer.

zyderma
Zyderma HS is an antimicrobial clarifying cream designed to target inflammatory skin conditions, such as acne.

How It Works

The MicroSilver BG™ particles in Zyderma HS formula provide antimicrobial cleansing action by continuously releasing silver ions. This reduces the colonization and growth of harmful bacteria, while supporting the skin’s natural healing process.
